Unemployment Information

The state of Colorado offers a variety of different resources for those struggling with unemployment due to COVID.

At the Department of Labor and Employment you can file for unemployment and apply for Lost Wages Assistance (LWA).

  • Lost Wages Assistance (LWA) is a federal program providing supplemental benefits to Americans who are unemployed or partially unemployed due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The National Unemployment Law Project created a fact sheet on the Unemployment Insurance Provisions in the CARES Act Restaurant Employee Relief Fund.

  • This fact sheet reviews 3 new unemployment insurance programs discussing what benefits are available to workers who find themselves without any or enough employment or work in these difficult times.
