Online BoCC Meetings during
COVID-19 Public Health Emergency

As we work through the COVID-19 changes to our daily lives and function of local government, the Teller County Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) is adjusting its policies and procedures to continue to provide our citizens the essential services our community needs.

Therefore, effective immediately, for the duration of the COVID-19 public health emergency, the BoCC will hold its regularly scheduled public meetings remotely via the Zoom meeting app.

You may listen to the BoCC Zoom meetings via computer or phone.  Information on how to access the online meeting will be posted on the Teller County website at www.co.teller.co.us with the agenda at least 24 hours prior to the start of each meeting.

Note that the access information and meeting ID will change for each meeting.  If you wish to submit public comment on agenda items, you may do so in advance of the meeting by sending them to publiccomment@co.teller.co.us  with a subject line indicating which agenda item the comment is intended to address.

All public comments will be provided to the Commissioners with their agenda items prior to the start of the meeting.   Public comment will not be taken during the online meeting format.

The weekly Tuesday BoCC work sessions will also be held remotely via the Zoom meeting app and  a Zoom meeting id will be posted with the current agenda on www.co.teller.co.us.  The work sessions remain observation only, with no public comment received.

Respectfully,

Teller County Board of County Commissioners Respond to Governor's Stay at Home Order

As County Commissioners, we are always concerned about the health, safety and welfare of our citizens, for those who live, work, and travel in our beautiful County.

Those words – health, safety and welfare – have now taken on new meaning and require us to stay in our homes and work from home, unless we are engaged in Necessary Activities and Necessary Travel as defined in the Order.  We recognize the burden the Governor’s order places on each of us. But we are confident our County residents will be responsible, for their own health and the health of others. Thank you to the many dedicated people who are working in government, business, and non-profit organizations to see us through this crisis.  Our Teller County incident response team is fully deployed and will continue to provide critical local government functions.

We urge everyone to continue to stay informed. Heed the advisories issued by credible sources, stay in contact with others by telephone or other electronic means to communicate your needs, and do your part.  Care for one another as you always have, and we’ll get through these challenging times.

Respectfully,

Marc Dettenrieder, Bob Campbell, Norm Steen
